Two-fac­tor au­then­ti­ca­tion

A way of log­ging into a ser­vice which re­quires two parts – usu­ally a pass­word, plus another sin­gle use code. The idea is that even if some­one does find out your pass­word, they won’t be get­ting in with­out a fresh code.
