Net­work cre­den­tials

De­tails – typ­i­cally a user­name and pass­word – that are re­quired in or­der to con­nect to a shared folder on an­other PC or de­vice such as a net­worked hard disk drive.

File ex­ten­sion

The three (or some­times four) let­ters at the end of a file that iden­tify its type to Win­dows and other ap­pli­ca­tions. It’s sep­a­rated from the file­name by full stop or pe­riod (.) mark.
