Red Wig­gle work­out! Stress busters, Crys­tals

After 20 years com­pet­ing and coach­ing in elite gym­nas­tics, fit­ness trainer Lau­ren Han­naford moved into chil­dren’s en­ter­tain­ment as a dancer – but it wasn’t ex­actly what she imag­ined.

“When I joined The Wig­gles I was thrown into the hec­tic tour­ing life,” says Lau­ren. “Some­times the only place to work out was along­side the tour bus in car parks!”

Lau­ren was in­spired to cre­ate a six-week on­line fit­ness pro­gram (www.lau­ren­han­naford. com.au) that re­quires no equip­ment. Based on four 15-minute work­outs, the work­out has been de­signed to help you eas­ily tone up from head-to-toe.

Here, Lau­ren and her hus­band Si­mon Pryce, aka the Red Wig­gle, run through the moves ex­clu­sively for Woman’s Day.

Ex­er­cise 3 Tun­nel push-up Tar­get Shoul­ders & tri­ceps

Start in a down­ward dog po­si­tion. If that’s too hard, put your knees on the ground.

Bring your weight to your knees and make sure your shoul­ders are in line with your wrists.

Bend down and do a push-up. Get your fore­head as close to the ground as pos­si­ble and push back up.

This is one rep. Aim to com­plete three sets of 10 reps.
