Power P couple

I’ve wanted to write about Turia Pitt and her fiance Michael Hoskin for a long time. Each time, tears filled my eyes for these wonderful human beings.

If anyone needs proof true love still exists, just look at Michael’s deep love for Turia.

She’s gone through hell after nearly being burned alive by a devastating bushfire, and her survival was astonishing!

Michael stuck by her side the entire time as she healed from her horrific injuries. How proud his parents must be of who he is, and Turia’s parents of her, too. What incredible people they both are!

As their journey continues, I wish them a safe haven of beautiful times together. God bless them both. C Lesniak, Thomastown, Vic

Recipe for life!

I think Maggie Beer’s words “grow old deliciously” offer perfect advice and her yummy recipes in Woman’s Day are delightful, so let’s just enjoy ageing. Like Maggie, I also enjoy cooking a roast at home – just like my mother did. Mav Janetzki, Horsham, Vic

Garden therapy

When I’m having a bad day I make a cuppa, then I sit and look at my garden. I instantly feel so much better! Mary Sheather, O’connor, ACT

Turia and Michael are expecting their first child.

Mary’s happy place.
