1. Pull cloves apart and place into a glass jar. Se­cure the lid and shake for 30 secs.

2. Re­move the lid and dump out bare cloves. Too easy.

NOW MAKE... GARLICKY ROASTED GREEN BEANS

Toss 450g trimmed green beans with 4 sliced gar­lic cloves and 1 tbs of olive oil. Spread on a bak­ing tray and sea­son with ½ tsp each salt and pep­per. Cook un­der the grill with the door open – shak­ing the tray once – un­til beans blis­ter, about 5 mins. Makes 4 serv­ings
