YOUR AYURVEDA BASICS, REVEALED
Digestion is at its strongest between 10am and noon, so try to make lunch your main meal of the day. A light, early supper will allow plenty of time for digestion before you hit the hay.
Aim to eat food when it’s ripe of ‘sattvic’ (goodness) and ‘prana’ (life force) for easier digestion. This means fresh and organic, rather than reheated or processed food, which can make you feel lethargic. Easy!
Herbs and spices have potent properties and are best enjoyed as part of a meal, instead of as a supplement. Examples: black pepper for digestion and ginger for an energy boost. So get sprinkling and reap the wellbeing benefits.
