In a se­ries of ex­per­i­ments at the Uni­ver­sity of Bern in Switzer­land, some bul­lets bounced back from a dis­tance of 1,500 me­tres. Even a pen­e­trat­ing gun­shot wound can di­vert a bul­let with­out tak­ing away the ma­jor­ity of its en­ergy.
