More Melbourne Street works?

A major grant for the All-Abilities Adventure Playground at Purtle Park Mulwala would boost the chances for more streetscape works in Melbourne Street Mulwala.

“Kerb and street parking, and the playground could be done at the same time,” Federation Council’s Director Corporate and Community Services Kristy Kay said.

Melbourne Street works, Ms Kay said, would of course have to Roads and Maritime NSW approval and involvement.

Kerb and gutter work undertaken in front of the new look Shoreline Estate from the Mulwala Canal could be extended alongside the All-Abilities Adventure Playground through to Havelock Street - opposite the newsagency - meaning kerb and gutter would be all along Melbourne Street.

Major streetscape works have been undertaken in Melbourne Street from Bayly Street to Inglis Street, which has proved to be a busy place for locals and visitors.
