Under 16s fall to the Bulldogs

Yarrawonga Chronicle - - Classies Classies -

On a day made for football the Under 16 Pigeons started out reasonably well taking a slim lead into the quarter time break.

However, that was about where the game finished for the young Pigeons.

Unable to sustain the pressure and effort from the first quarter the Bulldogs outran a lacklustre Pigeon’s outfit.

In the back half Austin Frauenfelder competed and won plenty of ball and along with Jackson Meade and Zac Burns provided some resistance.

Through the mid zone Tylar Hemphill competed all day and Jordyn Studd and Hayden Cartwright provided good support but winners were hard to find.

Across the forward half Tom Adkins did his best to take his chances with a number of score assists and a goal himself, with such being a good reward for effort over the year.

However, the beauty of a football season is the ability to be able to get back on the horse and put such a poor performance behind you.

This week’s game versus Scots School at Scots now takes on vital importance with a win crucial.

Goals: R. O’Kane, H. Cartwright, S. Mickelson, T. Adkins, K. Bextream.
