Lo­cal run­ners im­press at Shep­par­ton

Lo­cal run­ners con­tinue to im­press at re­gional events with some great re­sults at the re­cent Shep­par­ton Run­ning Fes­ti­val held in late Au­gust.

Lead­ing the im­pres­sive re­sults was Stacey Bar­rot who won the half marathon event in a blis­ter­ing 1 hour, 25 min­utes and 25 sec­onds.

Stacey’s sis­ter Me­gan Wood also placed third in the 10km event, while Brooke Wil­liams fin­ished se­cond place in the 5km event.

Young gun Olivia Gig­gins com­pleted her first 10km event in a fan­tas­tic time of 50 min­utes, mean­while Tim Roadley jumped out of his nor­mal kayak marathon events to com­plete his very first full run­ning marathon.

Other lo­cal run­ners to com­plete the half marathon were the team from Fo­cus Gym which in­cluded; Skye Free­man-Bouch­ier, Jodie White, John Fer­gu­son, Kim Finch and Emma But­ler. Sarah Dare with her Dare to Train team from Yar­ra­wonga and Ruther­glen also com­peted.
