An online ‘ change’ petition shared by the “Save boating on the Murray River” on its Facebook page, calling for a stop to the proposed ban, has attracted over 6,500 signatures and hundreds of comments which have been sent directly to NSW Maritime Minister Melinda Pavey.

The “Save boating on the Murray River” was formed by a group of businesses, boat users and locals who are interested in ensuring that boating continues along the Murray, especially Between Yarrawonga and Corowa.

The group has been formed directly as a result of the draft proposal to ban wake boarding and its related activities on the Murray that’s been handed down from NSW Roads and Maritime.
