Mark Sunday the 20th of May on your calendars and come along to be a part of the excitement that is – Federation Council’s Festival of Fun for Kids 2018.

With so many things to do in one location, you can choose your own adventure at the number of stalls on offer and enjoy the festival at your own pace.

The festival, to be held at the Corowa Racecourse aims to bring the community and families together to establish a fun, learning environment and to promote Federation Council as a tourist and family destination.

Federation Council Mayor Pat Bourke said Council is looking forward to hosting the Festival of Fun for Kids.

“This year’s Festival of Fun for Kids is sure to excite Council’s youngest residents and visitors from across the region,” Mayor Bourke said.

“With entertainment ranging from PJ Masks, Chrystal Valley Music and The Other Theatre Company, as well as interactive displays from the Fruit Fly Circus and Animals of Oz, there is something for everyone at this year’s event.”

In the lead up to the event, schools and residents will participate in Sky Light Lanterns Workshops at St Mary’s Primary School to make their own milk bottle lanterns to parade at the conclusion of the festival.

Mayor Bourke said Council has been delighted with the overwhelming positive response from local families and schools to the Festival of Fun for Kids.

“Seeing the great response that we are getting so far has been a strong reminder that events such as this provide the community and Council with the opportunity to connect and be inspired through educational programs and entertainment,” he said.

“Council is fortunate to also have great support behind the scenes, in ways of event sponsorship and the many community groups and organisations who will be assisting in the lead up to, and on the day, and that is something we are really appreciate of.”
