Yarrawonga 51 defeated Wodonga 30 With coach Mulquiney still away, the Pigeons saw Jackie fill in again and come away with another great win.

Playing the bottom side gave Yarra versatility in making moves and trying out new tactics.

A good start saw the Pigeons up by 9 goals at quarter time and 20 goals at half time. Ellie D and Laura D moving well and shooting consistently.

Mid-courters Ebony W, Brigid P, Jackie F and Clare O were strong and fast and got numerous turnovers.

Wodonga came back in the third quarter with Yarra winning the quarter by only a goal. Still up by enough to make some moves, Jayanna went into goals helping the Pigeons extend the lead once again.

Defenders Paris, Jay and Clare worked hard

A bitter cold day at Wodonga but the football and netball action was hot, 7/7 strong wins for the YFNC.

The senior footballers setup for a crack at the Magpies next.

James Jordon’s senior debut was exciting for supporters, and a proud moment for his devoted mum.
