Yacht Club sea­son opens

Yar­ra­wonga Yacht Club’s sea­son open day was cel­e­brated with the Bless­ing of the Fleet by Fr Neil Hicks from the Angli­can Church, and at­ten­dance by both our state and fed­eral mem­bers Tim McCurdy and Damian Drum. Peter Mans­field rep­re­sented Moira Shire.

A grand lunch was en­joyed by all and the Com­modore saluted the sail past. Two races fol­lowed the celebrations. The day also marked the first birth­day of the Yar­ra­wonga Dragon Boat Pad­dlers group. They have com­peted at re­gat­tas and are cur­rently en­joy­ing the beau­ti­ful Spring weather as they train on the Lake ev­ery Tues­day and Thurs­day evening and again on Satur­day morn­ings. The club is al­ways look­ing for more mem­bers and claim it suits any­one who would like some ex­er­cise and a lot of fun. Con­tact Tom Hutchi­son 0438589149.
