Pi­geons cel­e­brate ‘club cham­pi­onship’ sea­son

Ovens and Mur­ray League Club Cham­pi­ons for 2018 the Yar­ra­wonga Foot­ball Net­ball Club cel­e­brated a suc­cess­ful 2018 sea­son at their pre­sen­ta­tion night held at ClubMul­wala last Thurs­day.

All seven net­ball and foot­ball teams played fi­nals in 2018, bring­ing with it a re­serves pre­mier­ship.

Ovens and Mur­ray Foot­ball and Net­ball League Chair­man David Sin­clair con­grat­u­lated the club on its suc­cess against other clubs in the com­pe­ti­tion who “have big­ger pop­u­la­tions to at­tract play­ers from”.

“The club should be proud of their ef­forts. It is a very strong and united club here in Yar­ra­wonga,” Mr Sin­clair said.

“After vis­it­ing a train­ing ses­sion re­cently I was im­pressed with the cul­ture and feel­ing around the club com­pared to other clubs,” Mr Sin­clair said.
