Leg­endary AFL foot­ball iden­tity David Parkin OAM in ac­cor­dance with the Male Bag Foun­da­tion made his way through Mul­wala last Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 26 vis­it­ing Lake Mul­wala Ho­tel Mo­tel and Mul­wala Wa­ter Ski Club as part of their Big Ride for re­gional NSW.

The Male Bag Foun­da­tion is a pur­pose-built char­ity to boost aware­ness and raise funds for much needed spe­cial­ist equip­ment and ser­vices in men’s health and re­duce the im­pact of prostate can­cer in re­gional Aus­tralia.

Through postie bike rides the foun­da­tion has raised close to $1 mil­lion for spe­cial­ist prostate can­cer di­ag­nos­tic equip­ment and ser­vices for re­gional hos­pi­tals.

It’s iconic postie bike rides raise aware­ness in men’s health and raise funds to ac­cel­er­ate the de­liv­ery of spe­cial­ist biopsy equip­ment to re­gional hos­pi­tals.

The Foun­da­tion’s 2018 Big Ride which will run from Oc­to­ber 20-28 will cover 2,000 km through Vic­to­ria, NSW and the ACT.

Foun­da­tion Pa­tron, David Parkin said; “I know first-hand the real chal­lenges prostate suf­fer­ers and their fam­i­lies face and, from our per­spec­tive, the in­ci­dence of prostate can­cer in parts of re­gional NSW is un­ac­cept­able.

“We have de­liv­ered lead­ing-edge equip- ment and ser­vices to re­gional Vic­to­ria, and we are look­ing to help com­mu­ni­ties in re­gional NSW,” Parkin said.
