Presenting the city’s clubscape alongside the finest up-and-coming artists, the Waves Festival rides abreast of hidden musical currents, powering into its seventh year with a promising lineup and numerous talks for industry insiders.

Remaining true to course, the focus is firmly on the central European scene with a special focus on this year’s guest countries, Czechia and Italy. Among the acts confirmed are local darlings At Pavillon, who started out rehearsing in Türkenschanzpark; American indie rock powerhouse Clap Your Hands Say Yeah; garage rock sensation Coco Hames; British trip hop artist and producer Forest Swords; Australian neo-disco combo Client Liaison and Italo-british psychedelic shoegazers Denis The Night & The Panic Party. Revelers will have the chance to mingle with international journalists, managers, labels and promoters, offering invaluable networking opportunities for impresarios and artists alike. Skirting the shores of the event, the Music Hackday offers discourse, forums and workshops on music and technology, where musicians, developers and hobbyists can put their ideas into practice: By utilizing a stockpile of state-of-the-art software and equipment, anyone aspiring to become a music app developer, design and build a new instrument or just go off course and experiment is free to do so.

Several other satellite arenas will join the festivities, which will be complemented by a street food and craft beer festival on the final day. Be the first to catch the new wave!
