Az­er­cell con­tin­ues its role in de­vel­op­ment of IT sec­tor

Az­er­cell Tele­com LLC has pro­vided its next sup­port to NETTY 2017. Thus, the com­pany acted as the chief part­ner of the 13th NETTY Award, Azer­bai­jan’s first pro­fes­sional award in the field of in­for­ma­tion tech­nolo­gies, which was es­tab­lished to pro­mote the na­tional seg­ment of the World Wide Web and the IT mar­ket as a whole.

The award cer­e­mony was at­tended by rep­re­sen­ta­tives of ma­jor IT com­pa­nies in the coun­try, NETTY award nom­i­nees, me­dia rep­re­sen­ta­tives and nu­mer­ous guests. The win­ners of NETTY Academy com­pris­ing of the rep­re­sen­ta­tives of IT field in the coun­try were se­lected among 117 projects and re­sources.

The con­test an­nounced the best sites in Azer­bai­jan in the fol­low­ing nom­i­na­tions: "Azer­bai­jan", "The state web­site", "Ed­u­ca­tion and science", "Art and cul­ture", "So­ci­ety", "In­for­ma­tion and news", "Ser­vice web­site", "Cor­po­rate web­site", "The best web­site in the field of e-com­merce", "Sports", "Per­sonal web­site", "Vir­tual Jury’s choice", and awarded presents un­der hon­orary nom­i­na­tions ("Pro­gram of the Year", "En­rich­ment of de­vel­op­ment of na­tional in­for­ma­tion tech­nolo­gies" and "IT Event of the Year").

Green Baku project, the res­i­dent of Barama Cen­ter of Az­er­cell Tele­com LLC, was one of the win­ners of Na­tional In­ter­net Award NETTY 2017. Thus, www.green­baku.azsite pre­sented by Green Baku, a start-up of­fer­ing green of­fice ma­te­ri­als, was the best project in the nom­i­na­tion “So­ci­ety”.

The nom­i­na­tion "IT Man­ager of the Year" was in­cluded in this year’s con­test in or­der to iden­tify the best man­agers of IT depart­ments in the coun­try. The project "Pub­lic In­ter­net" launched by Bak­telekom at the ini­tia­tive of the Min­istry of Trans­port, Com­mu­ni­ca­tions and High Tech­nolo­gies was an­nounced a win­ner in the nom­i­na­tion "IT Event of the Year". In­for­ma­tion Man­ager of ADA Univer­sity RahidAlek­ber­lire­ceived an hon­orary award in the nom­i­na­tion "En­rich­ment of de­vel­op­ment of na­tional in­for­ma­tion tech­nolo­gies".

Az­er­cell con­stantly sup­ports Azer­bai­jani youth in improvement of their knowl­edge in the field of IT and ICT, as well as the projects which help them be­come world-rec­og­nized pro­fes­sion­als.
