Rus­sian plant to start sup­ply­ing chem­i­cal prod­ucts

Biysk Oleum Plant in Rus­sia’s Al­tai re­gion will be­gin de­liv­ery of oc­tane in­creas­ing ad­di­tives in Azerbaijan, Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor of the plant Vik­tor Golovin said on May 25 com­ment­ing on the results of his visit to Azerbaijan.

“Ecot­se­tol has been pro­duced at the Biysk Oleum Plant since 2010. Our first installation had a ca­pac­ity of 3,000-3,500 tons per year. At the mo­ment, as a re­sult of mea­sures to im­prove the tech­ni­cal process, its sta­bi­liza­tion and au­to­ma­tion, we have achieved a pro­duc­tion ca­pac­ity of 20,000 tons per year,” Golovin said.

He added that the plant’s high­qual­ity ad­di­tives are to­day sup­plied to such com­pa­nies as Ros­neft and Gazprom­neft.

“Hope­fully, we will also sup­ply them to SOCAR (Azer­bai­jani sta­te­owned oil com­pany) – our Azer­bai­jani part­ners,” Golovin added.

The ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor was a mem­ber of the Al­tai re­gion’s del­e­ga­tion to Azerbaijan on May 14-18. Dur­ing the visit to Baku, a pre­lim­i­nary agree­ment was reached on the sup­ply of oc­tane-in­creas­ing ad­di­tives pro­duced in Biysk.

The Ecot­se­tol ad­di­tive of the Biysk Oleum Plant al­lows bring the diesel fuel up to the qual­ity stan­dards Euro-4 and Euro-5.

In ad­di­tion, the plant ex­pects to in­crease the vol­ume of the ad­di­tives ex­port in the frame­work of the agree­ments reached in Fe­bru­ary 2017 dur­ing the visit of a del­e­ga­tion from Be­larus to the Al­tai re­gion.

Sup­ply of the ad­di­tives to Be­larus and Azerbaijan will re­sult in a new leap in the devel­op­ment of the Biysk Oleum Plant and will in­crease its rev­enue to more than $16 mil­lion.
