J. Wal­ter Thomp­son ap­pointed Chafic Had­dad as Chief Cre­ative Op­er­a­tions Of­fi­cer for the Mid­dle East and North Africa re­gion, ef­fec­tive im­me­di­ately. Had­dad will be based be­tween Riyadh and Beirut and re­port in to J.wal­ter Thomp­son MEA’S Chief Cre­ative Of­fi­cer, Ram­sey Naja. Whilst main­tain­ing his lead­er­ship po­si­tion in KSA, Had­dad will lead on all in­ter­nal cre­ative op­er­a­tions and man­age the ef­fec­tive­ness of the agency’s world-class cre­ative de­liv­ery in the MENA re­gion. His prin­ci­ple re­spon­si­bil­i­ties in the new role in­clude man­ag­ing cre­ative tal­ent and struc­tur­ing the agency’s cre­ative ser­vices to re­fine its pi­o­neer­ing of­fer­ing. Had­dad has over 20 years’ ex­pe­ri­ence and is an ac­com­plished cre­ative ex­ec­u­tive within the re­gional net­work. He has built a dy­namic and pur­pose­ful pres­ence across J.wal­ter Thomp­son’s MENA mar­kets build­ing long­stand­ing re­la­tion­ships with clients. This has seen the net­work achieve first wins in al­most ev­ery key in­ter­na­tional awards fes­ti­val in­clud­ing Cannes, D&AD and The One Show. It also in­cludes J.wal­ter Thomp­son Dubai be­ing the re­gion’s first men­tion in the ‘top ten agency’ cat­e­gory in the global Big WON Re­port. Most re­cently, Had­dad’s cre­ative lead­er­ship in Riyadh brought home the first ever Dubai Lynx Grand Prix awarded to any agency in Saudi Ara­bia, for the out­door com­pany Al-ara­biya and their ground­break­ing “Big­gest Gallery” cam­paign.
