Fadi Ghosn has joined Ja­panese auto maker Nis­san as mar­ket­ing di­rec­tor/chief mar­ket­ing of­fi­cer for Nis­san Mid­dle East. He will re­port di­rectly to Samir Cher­fan, the com­pany’s re­gional man­ag­ing di­rec­tor. Ghosn, who holds a bach­e­lor of busi­ness ad­min­is­tra­tion from Ecole Des Hautes Etudes Com­mer­ciales in Mon­treal, boasts more than 24 years’ ex­pe­ri­ence in sales and mar­ket­ing. He joins Nis­san from Ford where he held the po­si­tion of di­rec­tor of mar­ket­ing, sales and ser­vice for the Mid­dle East and Africa. He pre­vi­ously held se­nior po­si­tions with Gen­eral Mo­tors in the Mid­dle East and Detroit in­clud­ing that of sales di­rec­tor of GM’S Mid­dle East Oper­a­tions and the US auto maker’s re­gional CMO and Cadil­lac global brand de­vel­op­ment in Detroit. Nis­san Mid­dle East has ex­pe­ri­enced sig­nif­i­cant growth in re­cent years, cul­mi­nat­ing in its strong FY2014 fi­nan­cial re­sults, which saw it an­nounce record break­ing an­nual sales of 219,129 units across the re­gion, up 3.3% on 2013. In ad­di­tion, Nis­san Mid­dle East has also ini­ti­ated im­por­tant changes such as the re­ju­ve­na­tion of its oper­a­tions in Saudi Ara­bia as well as the ex­pan­sion of its re­gional mar­ket fo­cus to in­clude Tur­key.
