Fol­low­ers: 14.2k Founded by writer and in­ter­na­tional speaker Bob Hoff­man, “The Ad Con­trar­ian” was cho­sen by Busi­ness In­sider as one of the most in­flu­en­tial per­sonal blogs on mar­ket­ing and ad­ver­tis­ing. Hoff­man’s con­tro­ver­sial and provoca­tive ideas have es­tab­lished him as an orig­i­nal voice in the ad­ver­tis­ing and mar­ket­ing world. His blog was fea­tured in a num­ber of in­ter­na­tional pub­li­ca­tions such as the Wall Street Jour­nal, Forbes, Fi­nan­cial Times and Adweek. Hoff­man is also the au­thor of sev­eral books in­clud­ing “Mar­keters Are From Mars, Con­sumers Are From New Jersey” and “101 Con­trar­ian Ideas About Ad­ver­tis­ing” which re­mained Ama­zon's top-sell­ing ad­ver­tis­ing pa­per­back for over a year. In 2012, he was se­lected Ad Per­son of the Year by the San Fran­cisco Ad­ver­tis­ing Club.
