Founded by San Francisco-based blogger, author, copywriter and creative director Steffan Postaer, the blog encompasses fun, easy-to-read advertising articles and reviews. Postaer spent 15 years as Executive Creative Director at Leo Burnett USA and served as Chief Creative Officer and Chairman for Euro RSCG Chicago (now Havas) from 2004 to 2011, before he became gyro’s Executive Creative Director in February 2012. He is the recipient of prestigious advertising awards including a Kelly Award, Best of Show, and gold and silver awards at competitions such as the Cannes Lions Festival and the Addy Awards. The list of brands he created advertising for includes Heinz, Mcdonald’s, Altoids, and Johnnie Walker among others. Initially a communications and creative writing graduate, Postaer is also the author of three novels including “The Happy Soul Industry” (2008) which imagines what would happen if God hired an advertising agency to market heaven.
