Copyranter |

Mark “Copywranter” Duffy is a New York-based ad critic and award-winning copywriter with over 20 years of experience in the advertising industry who sarcastically describes himself as the “Best Ad Critic In The World”. With over 5500 posts to date, his blog features a constellation of rants and reviews about everything from marketing job to Apple’s advertising from a blunt, unapologetic perspective. After working at boutique agency Gigante Vaz Partners for 19 years, he joined Buzzfeed as a staff writer in 2012 (he was dismissed in 2013 due to editorial differences) and then worked for VICE until 2014, writing weekly posts about the good and bad of the ad industry. “Every year, I look at more ads than anyone at Adage, Adweek or any other Ad-blah-blah website. This is [not a] way to live a life, believe me. I do it for you, for love,” he wrote in a recent article for Digiday.
