How has life in Dubai influenced your work?

Dubai and Abu Dhabi are good places for this industry in terms of infrastructure and services. I’m currently working in Abu Dhabi at the twofour54 building. There are many big names located there like UBI SOFT and Cartoon Network to name a few. The atmosphere is encouraging, especially with many important events and expos happening in the country offering great work opportunities.

Do you have a favourite piece in your portfolio?

My favourite is Kuwait TV Identity, which tries to transform the original Arabic visuals on things such as camel, horse, eagle, desert, Arabic coffee, and loom into artistic and metallic patterns.

Which project or period of your career have you enjoyed the most so far?

FX work like (water – explosion and destruction – etc.), which has been and still is my main focus.

Do you aspire to join any production company?

Most of my career was in a production company. However, I’ve only been freelancing for the past year.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

The two elements that hold great appeal are nature and phenomena, because when you are involved in the creation of advanced special effects, these become the real reference.
