Kamel Mrowa was born on Jan­uary 19, 1915 dur­ing World War I in the town of Zrarieh in south Le­banon. He fin­ished his ele­men­tary ed­u­ca­tion in Al-makassed School in Si­don and later joined the Amer­i­can Ger­ard School founded by Protes­tant mis­sion­ar­ies in 1881 on the Mieh Mieh hill over­look­ing

June 2016 the city. He was a dis­tin­guished stu­dent and par­tic­u­larly bright in his use of the Ara­bic, English and French lan­guages.

At the ten­der age of 10, his fa­ther, Mo­ham­mad Jamil Mrowa died leav­ing him and his nine-month sis­ter Dunya in the care of their mother, Ba­dia Mo­hied­din. Though the event was
