When it comes to all things ‘cre­ative’, the line be­tween orig­i­nal and mod­i­fied is so blurred even glob­ally-renowned ad­ver­tis­ing ju­rors tend to find them­selves at a loss. Though this reality is noth­ing new, it is quite alarm­ing, and un­for­tu­nate, to see this hap­pen­ing at an an­nual award show like the 2016 Cannes Lions event. Fol­low­ing, is the hand­picked Joe La Pompe se­lec­tion of such ads, which in his mind do not merit be­ing awarded high­est hon­ours. You be the judge.
