Le­banese Street Artist Wins Gold at ‘Jeux de la Fran­co­phonie’

The 2017 “Jeux de la Fran­co­phonie”, an event held ev­ery four years where par­tic­i­pants that are from French-speak­ing na­tions chal­lenge each other in art and sports com­pe­ti­tions, was re­cently held in Abid­jan, Ivory Coast. Le­banese street artist Yazan Hal­wani, renowned for his strik­ing Ara­bic cal­lig­ra­phy mu­rals hon­our­ing Arab leg­ends through his art­work, won a gold medal in the painting cat­e­gory.
