On Sex Trafficking: There is more to what you see
To mark Human Trafficking Awareness Month in the United States, GSW, U.S. has created this dark and disturbing print advertisement for the Covenant House, a powerful human rights movement, to leverage the awareness around sex trafficking and stress out on all the damages that ensue from it. The sombre photography is accompanied by a copy that tries to convey the reality of the matter. Each of the image reads: “On TV, sex trafficking looks like this. In reality, it looks more like the girl next door.”“in real life pimps don’t tie girls down with ropes. That’s what emotional dependence and lies are for.”“you might imagine sex trafficking is all about chains. It is, but the links are made of fear, drugs, and money.”
To combat this lucrative and criminal industry, and deal with the harm caused by this form of modern slavery, the campaign stresses on the long-term psychological affect of human exploitation and call for donation to provide assistance and deal with the victims.
Bodycopy reads: “Sex trafficking in the US isn’t what you think. The real shackles used by pimps are physiological, which means they are far harder to break. Help us fight it.”
