> Student from AUB Awarded at The Global Undergraduate Summit
Thea Maria Maroun from the American University of Beirut (AUB) was highly commended (top 10%) in the Architecture & Design category, awarder for her paper titled “Re-morphing the Quarryscape of the Metn Express Highway: Hybridizing Theories: Between Ecological Reclamation and land-art. A group of the world’s top performing students gathered in Dublin in Novmeber 2019 to take part in the Global Undergraduate Summit, a 3-day conference where students from 38 universities, 12 countries and 25 different categories gathered to collaborate and share research. In total, The Global Undergraduate Awards (UA) received more than 3,400 submissions from undergraduates in 338 universities from 50 countries to the 2019 program. There is no other event of this scale or academic breadth and quality that is focused exclusively on the work of undergraduates. Students presented their work from the 25 different categories showcasing top undergraduate work from across the sciences, humanities, business and the creative arts.
The Global winners received the Thomas Clarkson Gold Medal.
