AJMAN: The Ajman-based Human Appeal International, HAI, has unveiled its Ramadan campaign, “Make Them Happy,” as part of its efforts to establish the concept of humanitarian action.

HAI said it aimed to raise the target revenue of charity projects to Dhs57.5 million, a growth of 23 per cent over the last year, out of which about Dhs20 million will be for Zakat and Dhs5 million for orphans and families in need. Various health, education and social development projects will receive Dhs25 million from the target revenue. In addition, Dhs4 million will be for breaking the fast (Iftar), Dhs1 million for Eid clothing, Dhs2 million for Zakat Al Fitr and Dhs500,000 for food donation.

The launch of the campaign highlighted strategies adopted by HAI to cover all charitable projects during the Holy Month of Ramadan. This includes four main projects: Zakat Al Fitr, Eid Dressing, Iftar and Food Donation.

Sheikh Mohammad Bin Abdullah Bin Sultan Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, HAI, said, “HAI aims to raise the revenues from its charitable projects during the year of 2018 by 23 per cent to Dhs232 million, in harmony with the UAE society ethics, which were established by its founding fathers.”
