Lufthansa to base new A350s in Munich
The first 10 Airbus A350 aircraft being delivered to Lufthansa will be based at Munich Airport. From January 2017, the new long-haul jets will be deployed on the airline's routes from the Bavarian city to Delhi and Boston. The A350-900 aircraft will be able to carry 293 passengers, with 48 seats in business class, 21 in premium economy and 224 in economy. They will gradually replace Lufthansa's old A340-600 aircraft, which offer a similar number of seats. Lufthansa has ordered a total of 25 A350-900s and the deployment of the remaining 15 has yet to be decided.
