Lufthansa to fly new A350 to Delhi
Delhi will become one of the first destinations for Lufthansa's new fleet of Airbus A350 aircraft. The German airline has revealed that its first 10 A350s will be based at Munich Airport from January 2017, and the new long-haul jets will be deployed on the airline's routes to Delhi and Boston. The A350-900 aircraft will be able to carry 293 passengers, with 48 seats in business class, 21 in premium economy and 224 in economy. They will replace Lufthansa's old A340-600 aircraft on the Delhi route, which offer a similar number of seats. Lufthansa has ordered a total of 25 A350-900s and the deployment of the remaining 15 aircraft has yet to be decided. The airline's Munich-Delhi flights depart the Bavarian city at 1200 and arrive in the Indian capital at 2300. The return services then leave at 0045 and get back to Munich at 0530.
