Emirates to en­ter Cam­bo­dia with Ph­nom Penh ser­vice

Emirates

will touch down in Cam­bo­dia for the first time this sum­mer, with the launch of ser­vices to the cap­i­tal, Ph­nom Penh.

Com­menc­ing on 1 July 2017, the new route will be op­er­ated daily, pro­vid­ing trav­ellers from Eu­rope and the Mid­dle East with a new way of trav­el­ling to Cam­bo­dia. Ph­nom Penh will be com­bined with Yan­gon as part of a new South­east Asian route.

The out­bound flight, EK388, will de­part Dubai at 0915 and ar­rive in Yan­gon at 1725. It will then de­part Myan­mar’s largest city at 1855 be­fore ar­riv­ing at Ph­nom Penh at 2125. This de­par­ture time will en­able pas­sen­gers to con­nect from Emirates in­com­ing flights from Paris, Lon­don, and Frank­furt.

The re­turn flight, EK389, will de­part Ph­nom Penh at 2310 and ar­rive back in Dubai at 0540 the next day, in­clud­ing a stop in Yan­gon.

The new ser­vice will also make Emirates the only air­line pro­vid­ing di­rect, year-round ser­vices be­tween Yan­gon and Ph­nom Penh.

Emirates will op­er­ate the route us­ing its two-class Boe­ing 777300ER air­craft, of­fer­ing 35kg of bag­gage al­lowance in econ­omy class.

The launch of the Ph­nom Penh ser­vice will co­in­cide with the in­tro­duc­tion of a di­rect flight be­tween Dubai and Hanoi, which also com­mence on 1 July. Pre­vi­ously Emirates’ flights to Hanoi in­cluded a stop in Yan­gon. Click here for full story
