Oman Air signs in­ter­line with Lufthansa

Air is con­tin­u­ing its ex­pan­sion across Europe and North Amer­ica af­ter sign­ing a new part­ner­ship agreement with Lufthansa. Un­der the new agreement, Oman Air pas­sen­gers can con­nect to 59 des­ti­na­tions across Europe and North Amer­ica from Lufthansa’s Frank­furt and Mu­nich hubs on an in­ter­line ba­sis.

At the same time, Lufthansa will code­share with Oman Air on Oman Air op­er­ated ser­vices from both Frank­furt and Mu­nich to Muscat, a state­ment said. As part of the deal, Oman Air will be mov­ing ter­mi­nals to the Lufthansa op­er­ated ter­mi­nals in Frank­furt ter­mi­nal 1 and Mu­nich ter­mi­nal 2.

Oman Air will also be re­tim­ing its cur­rent ser­vices to Frank­furt to ar­rive and de­part Frank­furt dur­ing the morn­ing to fa­cil­i­tate con­nec­tions in Frank­furt to Europe and North Amer­ica in un­der three hours. The Oman air­line said it will also be op­er­at­ing its new Boe­ing Dream­liner 787-9 be­tween Muscat and Frank­furt.

CEO Paul Gre­gorow­itsch said: “Strate­gic code­shares are a cru­cial way for us to broaden cus­tomer choice. Our re­la­tion­ship with Lufthansa is a very im­por­tant devel­op­ment for Oman Air al­low­ing us to of­fer even bet­ter con­nec­tiv­ity in Europe and the North At­lantic and we are de­lighted to be op­er­at­ing one of new­est ad­di­tions to the fleet, the Boe­ing Dream­liner on the Muscat to Frank­furt route.”
