Six in­jured in two ac­ci­dents

SIX PAS­SEN­GERS on two pub­lic ser­vice ve­hi­cles were among those in­jured in two ac­ci­dents yes­ter­day.

Two route taxis, one driven by 38-year-old Don­aghue Pol­lard, of Cane­field, St Thomas, and the other by Adrian Jack­man, 49, of Rose Hill, St Peter, col­lided along Princess Alice High­way, Bridgetown, around 6:35 a.m.

Pol­lard com­plained of pain to the back, while three of his pas­sen­gers re­ported pain to the back, leg and arm. Two of the pas­sen­gers on the sec­ond route taxi had neck and head pains.

Two of the in­jured were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hos­pi­tal (QEH) for treat­ment.

Later in the day, 36-year-old Tra­cia Walker, of Bayville, St Michael, com­plained of pain to the right side and was taken to the QEH by am­bu­lance af­ter be­ing in­volved in a col­li­sion along the ABC High­way near the Deighton Grif­fith School.

The other driver was Ni­cole Thomp­son, 43, of Green Hill Drive, Silver Hill. ( PR/SAT)
