CSOS blank BUT in hockey

THE GOALS FLOWED dur­ing the start of the Bar­ba­dos Hockey Fed­er­a­tion’s new league sea­son at the Wildey Astroturf fa­cil­ity last Sun­day.

Comber­mere School Old Schol­ars (CSOS) led the on­slaught with a 10-0 vic­tory over Bar­ba­dos Union of Teach­ers in the men’s di­vi­sion.

CSOS’ win was set up by hat tricks from Ka­mar Bovell and Kyle Brath­waite. Bovell scored in the 26th, 42nd and 43rd min­utes, while Brath­waite net­ted in the 30th, 39th and 47th min­utes.

Kofi Hinds also pro­vided a dou­ble, striking in the 40th and 50th min­utes.

Wil­liams In­dus­tries Avengers were also big win­ners, de­feat­ing BDF 6-1 with strikes from Shaile Babb, James Good­ing, Re­shawn Greenidge, Shaquille Callender, Matthew Wil­liams and Shomari In­niss. Dar­rell Straughn scored for BDF.

YMCA de­feated All Stars 3-0, thanks to a dou­ble strike from veteran Ralph Wat­son and a goal from Ro­han Thomas.

In the lone women’s match, Maple beat Avengers 3-1.

Christina Agard-boyce found the nets twice in the open­ing stages and Lisa St Hill added the other for Maple. (HG)
