Par­ents ac­cused of mak­ing threats

TWO PAR­ENTS CHARGED with mak­ing threats to a mem­ber of staff of a school were re­leased on bail when they ap­peared in the Dis­trict “A” Mag­is­trates’ Court on Satur­day.

Daniel Em­manuel Moore, 34, of Princess Royal Av­enue, The Pine, and Sheena Ann Janeil Reid, 34, of Sealy Land, Gov­ern­ment Hill, both in St Michael, were jointly charged with, and pleaded not guilty to, cre­at­ing a dis­tur­bance on the com­pound of Charles F. Broome Me­mo­rial Pri­mary School on Oc­to­ber 11.

Moore was solely charged with us­ing the threat­en­ing words: “Any­time any­body in here touch my child, I com­ing and I gine dun ’bout here,” to Ol­van Fran­cis on the same date, as well mak­ing use of the same threat­en­ing words in an ed­u­ca­tional in­sti­tu­tion. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Mag­is­trate Graveney Ban­nis­ter re­leased each ac­cused with a surety of $2 500 and ad­journed the mat­ters un­til to­day, when the two will reap­pear in the Bridgetown Traf­fic Court.
