It’s the hap­pi­est time of a year and it is al­ways a plea­sure where you can see those who handle the busy­ness of the sea­son with­out sac­ri­fic­ing the el­e­ments of ser­vice that will make you and your or­gan­i­sa­tion stand out.

As a sales rep­re­sen­ta­tive, in a split sec­ond you have the op­por­tu­nity to say “next” and move on to the wait­ing cus­tomer or to say thank you and ex­tend hol­i­day greet­ings be­fore wel­com­ing the next cus­tomer in line. The dif­fer­ence be­tween the two in­ter­ac­tions is lit­er­ally just sec­onds.

When you choose the lat­ter it means you un­der­stand the im­por­tance of the cus­tomer, you un­der­stand the sea­son and the joy it brings, and that you are will­ing to share the joy and do so con­sis­tently. It takes a lot of ef­fort to stay fo­cused,
