Gomelkhlebprom has plans to launch the pro­duc­tion of “liv­ing” kvass in 2011.

The bev­er­age will be made us­ing spe­cial fer­ments in­stead of yeast. The tech­nol­o­gists of the com­pany are now work­ing on the recipe of the kvass. They will come up with sev­eral types of kvass with var­i­ous fla­vors.

The kvass will be put on sale in sum­mer. The com­pany is go­ing to pur­chase a spe­cial bot­tling line for the new bev­er­age. The kvass will be sold do­mes­ti­cally and ex­ported to the neigh­bor­ing states.

The “liv­ing” kvass will have an­tibac­te­rial prop­er­ties sim­i­lar to those of cur­dled or aci­dophilus milk.
