Datong Electric locomotive Plant (China) started to produce two-section electric BKG-1 locomotives for Belarusian railways.

The first two locomotives are expected to arrive in Belarus in early 2012. The vehicles will be certified by the Belarusian State Transport University.

According to the contract signed between Belarusian Railways, the Electrical Equipment Export and Import Corporation and Datong Electric Locomotive Plant, the Chinese partners will deliver twelve Hxd2-based mainline freight locomotives in 2012. Chinese banks will provide loans to execute the project.
