In Jan­uary-septem­ber 2011 the ex­port of the Minsk Mo­tor Plant (MMP) went up 51% over the same pe­riod last year.

The Minsk-based plant man­aged to re­tain its po­si­tion on the Rus­sian mar­ket. Thus, in 2011 the com­pany shipped 18,000 en­gines com­pli­ant with the Euro-3 eco­log­i­cal stan­dard to GAZ Group. Next year the plant is ex­pected to pro­vide GAZ with 9,000 Euro-4 en­gines. Minsk Mo­tor Plant launched the pro­duc­tion of these en­gines in Q4. The exports of 300hp diesel en­gines to Ukraine have in­creased as well.

Minsk Mo­tor Plant has stepped up ef­forts to raise the ca­pac­ity of en­gines for Gom­sel­mash and BELAZ. Start­ing from 2013, the plant will sup­ply en­gines for fod­der har­vesters and BELAZ 45-tonne dump trucks.

At the same time Minsk Mo­tor Plant is plan­ning to launch the pro­duc­tion of small en­gines for MTZ-320 trac­tors, road­build­ing equip­ment, en­ergy gen­er­a­tors.
