HOME-GROWN TIMBER FOR HOME USE
In 2011 capital investments of Bellesbumprom Concern went up 70.4% to reach almost Br2 trillion.
The investments were funneled into the technical upgrade of woodworking and pulp and paper companies, the construction of new plants and reconstruction of existing facilities. Particularly, Spartak Paper Mill revamped the papermaking machine to raise its production capacity to 30,000 tonnes of paper per year. The company started to produce high quality base paper and sanitary items.
Mostovdrev Company started to manufacture large-format veneer. The Dobrush paper mill Geroi Truda started to produce office paper. In 2012 Ivatsevichidrev is planning to commission a shop to manufacture flakeboard and laminboard. FANDOK Company will start to produce thin wood chipboard, Krasnaya Zvezda Paper Mill will upgrade the papermaking machine and other equipment. Other investment projects are in the pipeline.
Bellesbumprom Concern unites about 60 organizations which account for nearly 70% of Belarus’ woodworking industry, from lumbering to the manufacture of paper and furniture.
