In 2012 Mogilev-based Strommashina is expected to produce 52 downhole oil-well pumps for Belorusneft.

New modifications with the tonnage of 10 and 12 tonnes were designed by the company as part of the government import-substituting program and put into mass production in 2009. The plant had earlier launched the production of spare parts and components for oilfield equipment which is successfully used at oil wells.

Pumps will be installed at new wells and will substitute some part of the old equipment. Besides, the company plans to advance its product to foreign markets. Russia and Kazakhstan have already showed interest in Strommashina novelties.

The Mogilev company specializes in operation lines and equipment to produce construction materials, railway sleepers, stationary hoists, oil-producing and mining equipment. In 2011 the company’s output increased by 11%. The export rose more than 2.3 times.
