At present there are 94 res­i­dent com­pa­nies reg­is­tered in the FEZ Brest, in­clud­ing such well­known com­pa­nies as Santa Bre­mor, Ge­fest, In­co­food, STIM and oth­ers. The FEZ Brest is the big­gest ex­porter in the re­gion with the an­nual ex­ports ex­ceed­ing $270 mil­lion.

In 2011, a num­ber of ma­jor projects were car­ried out there. The FEZ Brest launched the first phase of the high-tech pro­duc­tion of elec­tric welded steel pipes of round and rect­an­gu­lar cross sec­tions and the sec­ond phase of a champignon grow­ing com­pound. A sid­ing man­u­fac­tur­ing fa­cil­ity and a new plant of build­ing and dec­o­ra­tion ma­te­ri­als were com­mis­sioned last year, too.

In 2012, the FEZ Brest has 10 new in­vest­ment projects lined up. In par­tic­u­lar, Santa Bre­mor is launch­ing the pro­duc­tion of stur­geon roe and is go­ing to build a deep freez­ing ravi­oli plant. The FEZ Brest will also have new poly­mer film, fur­ni­ture and med­i­cal equip­ment com­pa­nies set up.

To­day the FEZ Brest em­ploys over 14,000 city res­i­dents. A new res­i­den­tial dis­trict will be built for them with the to­tal area of 2 mil­lion square me­ters.
