The Belarusian Leather and Footwear Holding Company Marko was founded in 2013 as part of the investment project to produce up to 5 million pairs of footwear per year and upgrade a fur processing factory with the annual processing capacity of 300,000 sheepskin and 250,000 fur products. The holding company incorporates the Belarusian leather and footwear company Marko, the private company San Marko, OAO Krasny Oktyabr, the private company Vitma, OOO Marko Service, and Vitebsk Fur Factory.
At present Marko produces about 4 million pairs of shoes per year. In July 2016, the enterprise produced its 55 millionth pair of footwear – women’s ankle boots Size 38.
The trade and logistics center of the holding company was opened in December 2015. The total warehouse area for finished products is 10,000m2. The facility can store 1 million pairs of footwear. Plans have been made to double the storage area after the construction of a similar facility nearby. The existing engineering infrastructure can cover the area of 20,000m2.
