Belarus’ export of services up by 1.4% in January-october 2016
In January-october 2016 Belarus’ export of services went up by 1.4% from the same period a year earlier to total $5.566 billion. The statistics is available on the website of the National Bank of Belarus.
In January-october 2016 the foreign trade in services amounted to $9.136 billion (up 0.2% as against the same period of 2015). Export of services totaled $5.566 billion (up 1.4%), import – $3.569 billion (98.3%). In January-october Belarus had a surplus in trade of services of $1.996 billion (up by 7.6%).
In January-october 2016 foreign trade in goods and services hit $48.726 billion, down 10.5% over the same period of 2015. Export made up $24.482 billion (a decline of 11.4%), import reached $24.244 billion (a decrease of 9.5%). Belarus reported a $238.2 million surplus in the foreign trade in goods and services.
Foreign merchandize trade shrank by 12.6% to $39.589 billion. Export of goods decreased by 14.6% to $18.915 billion, import by 10.7% to $20.674 billion. The deficit stood at $1.758 billion.
