BELKART to Enable Money Transfer Between Cards

Economy of Belarus - - BANKS AND FINANCE -

Holders of BELKART cards will soon be able to transfer money online between their accounts using BELKART cards, the press service of the BELKART Payment System told the Economy of Belarus Magazine. From 1 February 2017, the banks that use the BELKART payment system will be able to connect the cards of their in-house payment systems to the long-established and new services of online interbank money transfer. More than 5 million holders of BELKART cards will be able to send money to their relatives and friends at any time and receive money using their cards. “Interbank transfers are a convenient, accessible, quick, safe, and easy method of sending or receiving money for BELKART cardholders. We believe that the transfer service will be popular with the holders of BELKART cards and the clients of the banks participating in the BELKART system,” BELKART Payment System Director Yelena Nesterenok said. Transfer fees and the procedure for making such transactions with BELKART cards are determined independently by every bank that offers a transfer service. Three Belarusian banks have such transfer services today. These are OAO Belgazprombank, OAO BPSSberbank, and ZAO Mtbank. “I would like to add that specialists of the BELKART payment system have done a lot to prepare corresponding technical documents. The participating banks will apply this technology on their own,” Yelena Nesterenok added.
