Confectionery company Domochay opens first proprietary bakery
OAO Bakery and Confectionery Company Domochay opened its first proprietary bakery in Mogilev in August 2016.
The retail outlet is located on the first floor of a residential house in Nepokorennykh Boulevard. It can be easily found thanks to the bright and original outdoor advertising with symbols of Domochay Company. The company is now Mogilev Oblast’s leading supplier of baking and confectionery products. The interior design of the store boasts an exquisite taste and beautiful decor in addition to comfortable conditions for buyers: the merchandise is neatly and conveniently organized on the shelves, the retail equipment has an original style, and shop assistants demonstrate impeccable skills.
The store will be the first one in Domochay’s proprietary retail chain. The company intends to revive old traditions and set up a network of small bread stores in Mogilev and the region in addition to considering the possibility of opening more outlets in other parts of the country and Minsk. Apart from what you may find in a conventional bakery these shops will make some fresh bread and bakery products on site.
Unlike conventional stores, however, the proprietary store will offer the full range of Domochay’s bakery and confectionery products, a wide lineup of organic, healthy food and food for diabetics. For instance, this year the company has started producing tasty and beneficial black tea out of willow herb. More confectionery can be ordered using a special catalogue. Products can also be baked to customer’s specifications.
The Domochay company began as the Mogilev breadbaking factory in 1927. In 1972 the Mogilev Oblast Bakery Industry Group was established as part of the restructuring of the enterprises run by the BSSR Food Industry Ministry. In 2001 the industrial group was renamed into Mogilevkhlebprom. In 2013 the enterprise was converted into the public jointstock company (OAO) Bakery and Confectionery Company Domochay. At present it employs over 2,500 people.
