With the com­mem­o­ra­tion of 60th birth an­niver­sary of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo and with the fi­nan­cial sup­port of around Nu.10, 00,000 from Royal Govern­ment of Bhutan, Com­mis­sion for Re­li­gious Or­ga­ni­za­tion do­nated full sets of text Gyel­say La­glen, Shetring and the his­tory of ori­gin of our Dharma free of cost to the reg­is­tered re­li­gion or­ga­ni­za­tion with Com­mis­sion for Re­li­gious Or­ga­ni­za­tion .

Deputy Chief Pro­gram Of­fi­cer for Com­mis­sion for Re­li­gious Or­ga­ni­za­tion Mr. Phurpa Dorji said these are all ac­cor­dance with the syl­labus framed by the Com­mis­sion for Re­li­gious Or­ga­ni­za­tion which was ap­proved by the cab­i­net.

The main ob­jec­tive of the dis­tri­bu­tion of this text are pri­mar­ily to help the lam and the teacher who teaches to the monk, gom­ch­hen and nuns who could not give much teach­ing other than ba­sics of al­pha­bet­i­cal words and took long du­ra­tion to teach since they don’t have syl­labus as such but now with this dis­tri­bu­tion of this text, they can teach eas­ily, he added.

He fur­ther said when the stu­dents com­pete for job in civil ser­vice job or even in the pri­vate sec­tor, pre­vi­ously they were un­able to com­pete since they don’t have the certificate from their in­sti­tutes but from now these stu­dents who stud­ies at She­dra’s and Gomdey’s and from the reg­is­tered re­li­gious or­ga­ni­za­tion, they will get certificate and they can com­pete for job in the mar­ket if they wish.

Lopen of Sam­drup Gyem Chodey from Be­gana Tsheltrim Dorji said, both the text has ben­e­fited tem a lot as through this text we come to know what should be done and what should not be done in our life.

He said in his Gy­omdey he has around twenty three old aged peo­ple and all of them says that now after learn­ing Gyel­say la­glen, they had change their mind.

For in­stance, the regis- tered re­li­gious or­ga­ni­za­tions are Tshoki Dorji Foun­da­tion, Khomshar Donga Yoe­sel Dargeling, Sam­drup Gyem Chodey (Be­gana), She­dra Ogyen Chod­zong Ngagyur Ny­ingma Bud­dhist Nun­nery (Wang­sisina), etc. and as of now Com­mis­sion for Re­li­gious Or­ga­ni­za­tion had ninety four reg­is­tered re­li­gious or­ga­ni­za­tions. The Com­mis­sion was started in 2009.

These dis­tri­bu­tions of text will be done an­nu­ally to all the twenty Dzongkhag’s reg­is­tered re­li­gious or­ga­ni­za­tion or even more than that if the com­mis­sion gets bud­gets.

Mean­while, the dis­tri­bu­tion of the text was dis­trib­uted by the Chair­man of Com­mis­sion for Re­li­gious Or­ga­ni­za­tions and Min­is­ter for Home and Cul­ture Af­fairs, Ly­onpo Dam­cho Dorji at Na­tional Li­brary and Achieve, Thim­phu on Thurs­day.
